Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited has received a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority for the consolidation and transfer of telecom licenses, as well as the proposed amalgamation of Telenor Pakistan (Private) Limited into Pak Telecom Mobile Limited, according to a notification submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange.
The development follows PTA’s letter dated April 2, 2026, granting regulatory approval for the restructuring process involving PTCL’s wholly owned subsidiaries.
The company stated that the proposed merger will be carried out through a scheme of arrangement in accordance with applicable laws and regulatory requirements.
The consolidation is expected to streamline operations and strengthen PTCL’s position in Pakistan’s competitive telecom sector. Further updates regarding the implementation of the scheme will be shared with the Exchange in due course, said PTCL – ER News Desk
