Hascol Petroleum Limited has announced the appointment of Javed Ahmedjee as its new Chief Executive Officer, the company informed the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) today. His appointment is effective immediately.
Mr. Ahmedjee brings with him over three decades of extensive experience in leading business transformation across a range of industries including energy, banking, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, education, and capital markets. His leadership track record spans Pakistan, Africa, and Europe, with notable roles in Fortune 500 companies and prominent regional firms.
He has successfully launched, scaled, and revitalized businesses, played a key role in Pakistan’s largest pharmaceutical merger, and executed complex mergers and acquisitions across emerging markets. Among his significant achievements is the turnaround of Puma Energy, which he transformed into a commercially viable, future-ready enterprise.
In addition to his executive experience, Mr. Ahmedjee has served as a trusted advisor and board member for institutions such as Citibank, GSK, Puma Energy, Shajar Capital, and the Karachi Port Trust, contributing to strategic oversight and fostering entrepreneurial growth.
A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan, Mr. Ahmedjee is known for his entrepreneurial mindset, with a keen ability to identify untapped opportunities, drive organizational change, and create long-term value.
