Bisconni to Invest $30 Million in New Biscuit Factory in Abu Dhabi’s KEZAD

The announcement comes after Bisconni signed a 50-year land lease agreement with Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi (KEZAD) Group, the largest operator of integrated economic zones. The new manufacturing facility will span 37,000 square meters and will produce biscuits and confectionery items.

“We are delighted to welcome Bisconni to KEZAD, reinforcing our commitment to providing top-tier infrastructure and strategic opportunities for leading manufacturers,” said Mohamed Al Khadar Al Ahmed, CEO of KEZAD Group.

“This collaboration represents a significant step in enhancing Abu Dhabi’s status as a regional hub for the food and confectionery sectors,” he added.

Maqsood Ismail, Managing Director of Bisconni Middle East Manufacturing, expressed gratitude to KEZAD, the Abu Dhabi government, and UAE authorities for their swift approval of the project. “We are excited to embark on this new chapter in our international expansion,” he remarked.

In June of the previous year, Ismail Industries announced its intention to establish a subsidiary in Abu Dhabi. The new entity will focus on manufacturing, marketing, sales, and distribution of a wide range of food products, including biscuits and confectionery.

The UAE’s appeal to Pakistani businesses is due to its favorable business environment, efficient payment processes, and strong contract enforcement, among other advantages. Experts believe that setting up operations in the UAE provides Pakistani companies with a strategic edge, leveraging the country’s world-class infrastructure and legal framework.
