Abdul Rehman Allana, Chairman Alsons Group which launched Pakistan’s first locally-manufactured ICU Ventilator AVB – 100 says: SMEs need a lot of encouragement in Pakistan; nobody cares about them. Banks do not want to invest in them because they are considered risky. Every single bank should invest 20 percent of its lending in SMEs.

Here is his talk on the eve of the launch of AVB – 100 in Islamabad on February 3, 2025. Rana Tanveer, Federal Minister for Production was the chief guest of the event. However, Finance Minister Aurangzeb, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, and P&D and Special Initiatives Minister Ahsan Iqbal also participated in the launch event.
