MariEnergies has successfully commenced gas and condensate production from the Shewa discovery, located in the Waziristan Block, under the Extended Well Testing (EWT) phase. This follows the completion of the gas transmission pipeline by Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL).
Currently, the production rates stand at 26 MMSCFD of gas and 244 BBLs/D of condensate, with output gradually increasing to its full potential as the gas processing plant stabilizes its operating parameters and export systems.
MariEnergies operates the Waziristan Block with a 55% working interest, alongside Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (35%) and Orient Petroleum Inc. (10%) as joint venture partners.
This milestone marks a significant step toward strengthening the country’s energy security while contributing to the socio-economic development of the region.
