BANGLADESH
The IEEE Student Branch of Green University of Bangladesh (GUB), in collaboration with the IEEE Computer Society SBC GUB and IEEE PES GUB SBC, successfully celebrated IEEE Day 2025 — a dynamic blend of innovation, knowledge sharing, and collaboration.
Green University of Bangladesh (GUB), one of the country’s leading private universities, is renowned for its strong emphasis on research, technology, and industry-oriented education. The university continues to nurture future engineers and innovators through active engagement in global professional platforms such as IEEE.
The celebration began on October 11, 2025, with a colorful IEEE Day Rally, bringing together students, volunteers, and faculty members in a shared spirit of innovation and teamwork.
This was followed by an insightful seminar titled “How to Write a Journal Manuscript: From Draft to Publication”, featuring Dr. Md. Abdur Razzaque, SMIEEE, Professor and Chairman, Department of CSE, University of Dhaka, as the keynote speaker. The session, attended by over 90 participants, offered valuable guidance on academic writing and the publication process — essential skills for young researchers.
The two-day celebration concluded on October 12, 2025, with the IEEE Olympiad GUB 2025, where more than 70 participants competed in Junior and Senior categories, testing their abilities in IQ, reasoning, and core engineering knowledge. The top five winners from each category will receive printed certificates, while all participants will be awarded digital certificates in recognition of their efforts.
IEEE Day 2025 at GUB once again underscored the university’s dedication to fostering creativity, research excellence, and leadership among its students — preparing them to contribute meaningfully to the global engineering community. (Information sourced from the university’s official Facebook post.)
