Haleon Pakistan Limited has announced a major sustainability milestone, confirming that its Jamshoro manufacturing facility has been awarded the TRUE Platinum Certification—the highest level of zero-waste recognition. With this achievement, the site becomes the first Haleon facility worldwide to attain the platinum rating.
According to the company, the Jamshoro plant has achieved an exceptional 99.7% waste diversion rate, ensuring that nearly all non-hazardous operational waste is kept out of landfills through rigorous reuse, recycling, and resource-recovery measures.
The TRUE (Total Resource Use and Efficiency) Certification, administered by Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI), evaluates and recognizes facilities that demonstrate excellence in sustainable waste management. The certification framework encourages circular practices that drive environmental protection, health improvements, and long-term economic benefits.
Haleon said the achievement underscores its commitment to sustainability leadership within Pakistan’s consumer healthcare sector. “By adopting circular principles and focusing on waste reduction and resource optimization, Haleon can continue to deliver better everyday health with humanity,” the company added.
With this global first, Haleon Pakistan positions itself as a frontrunner in corporate sustainability, setting a benchmark for environmental stewardship across the region and within the company’s global network. – ER News Desk
