Jafri and Associates:
New leadership and value addition

A new phase of Jafri and Associates (Pvt.) Ltd has already begun after Engr. Syed Tanveer Ahmed Jafri took over the reins of the company founded by his father Engr. Sibte Ahmed Jafri, who organized a group for providing consultancy services in the field of Electrical Engineering—an entity non-existent at that time in the country.
Late Jafri’s contribution later proved to be a great value addition not only to his life but also to the engineering industry in Pakistan and it now stands as a beacon of success and value.
Now that second-generation Engr. Syed Tanveer Ahmed Jafri has taken over, he has three objectives to achieve. One, he has to maintain the value that he has succeeded from his father, two, he has to add up his fullest potential and all abilities which could bring about the color to the company required in today’s modern engineering sector and, three, he has to provide replacement of his predecessor to be at the center of the stage of the engineering institutions that put their endeavors for the development of engineering sectors and engineers in Pakistan.
Senior Jafri left behind a wide scope of services from planning, feasibility, design, tariff, and sector studies, geo-tech/environmental studies, design development of specifications and tender documents, Evaluation of bids, negotiations for the award of works, and preparation of contract documents, Inspection and witnessing of tests on equipment at manufacturer’s works, supervision of installation and commissioning; progress monitoring; quality control, project supervision, and management, loss evaluation, energy audit, vetting of designs, inspection of existing installations with a view to recommending amelioration, Due-diligence of Engineering Projects, Utility Change Management, Improvement, Rehabilitation, Augmentation, Amelioration, etc in Power Utilities in all fields from power generation to HVAC.
This backdrop is an asset for Engr. Syed Tanveer Ahmed Jafri to move ahead with his education in the developed world besides affiliation with professional bodies and certifications and C-Level experience covering over two decades. He is a leader and expert developer of energy projects including, efficiency, transmission, and power generation projects, has designed, built, or managed multi-million-dollar projects within the USA and globally with Fortune 100 companies, and has working knowledge of utility, state, and federal government procurement processes. He has worked on over 3 GW of Green Energy Projects Globally with a cumulative value of over 5 Billion USD and 14 GW of Conventional Energy Projects and awarded 2010 Legend of Energy by AEE-USA, working Experience with ADB, IBRD, and USAID-funded projects. He has also Worked on several patents in the automotive and energy sectors. International Experience spread over 67 countries.
Moreover, Mr. Jafri is a strategic thinker with expertise in Complex Project Development and Execution and excellent knowledge of Risk Management Strategies are likely to give him a clear edge over his competitors.
