The first month of this fiscal year began with a positive note for cement producers, experience a raise of 38 percent in overall cement despatches (local and exports) to 4.383 million tons from 3.512m tons in a similar period a year ago.
According to information of the All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association (APCMA), local uptake of cement in July 2020 expanded by 32.67pc to 3.953m tons from 2.979m tons in July a year ago. Whereas exports sector hasa more amazing increment of 66.14pc to 0.885m tons from 0.533m tons around the same time a year ago. The development in July 2020 despatches is surprisingly increasing, as last year it was increased only 2pc and that is only in export and on the other hand, the domestic cement utilization has faced the 0.94 declines said by APCMA spokesman.
