MUET (Mehran University of Engineering & Technology) , in Collaboration with Deerwalk Institute of Technology (DWIT), Kathmandu Nepal organized “Fifth international conference on Information Technology 4 Development” (IT4D).
This 2-day conference was held at two separate venues. A total of 160 participants attended the moot.
Day one of the conference was held at Sagarmatha Hall, Deerwalk Complex, Sifal, Kathmandu.
The opening speech of the conference was delivered by Dr. R PKhatiwada. Dean IOST-Tribhuvan University.Dr. D KKhadka, Director Research, UGC Nepal spoke about “Research Funding in Nepal: Opportunities and Value” Over 20 research papers by 56 researchers (authors and co-authors) were presented on that day.
One Session of the presentation schedule was via Skype presentation to facilitate the foreign authors who could not reach the venue. There were 5 papers through Skype Presentation.
Day two of the conference was held at Arch Hall of Hotel Annapurna.
The keynote speech was delivered by Her Excellency US Ambassador to Nepal Alaina B. Teplitz, followed by the speech of conference co-chair Prof. Dr.Bhawani Shankar Chowdhry, Dean, Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Pakistan.
The welcome speech was delivered by Dr.Rudra Pandey -Conference Chair. Over 16 research papers by 38 researchers (authors and co-authors) were presented in the sessions.
Certificates were distributed to the presenters and closing remarks concluded the session.
On this occasion, Prof Dr BS Chowdhry also read the message of Prof Dr MA Uqaili mentioning that this is proud moment for Mehran University of Engineering & Technology (MUET), to be the part of the organizing team along with Deerwalk Institute of Technology established by MUET Alumnus Dr. Rudra Pandey, for the 5th International Conference on Information Technology for Development (IT4D).
The international conference event IT4D18 brought together researcher, industry professionals and academics in a pleasant environment to exchange information on advances in IT Applications, Networking, Databases, Mobile, Web Services, IT Security, Wireless, Energy Management, Smart Grid, Antenna design, Big Data, Simulation, and Modeling etc.
