Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) has written to the Sindh Government that the engineers of Sindh working in various public sector departments be given technical allowance.
A letter, written by Chairman PEC Jawed Salim Qureshi to Engr. Syed Murad Ali Shah, the Chief Minister of Sindh said that “recently KPK government has approved a technical allowance @ 1.5 times of the initial basic pay of the engineers vide Finance Department KPK Notification # FD(SP SR-III) 8-7/2018-19 dated 19th October 2018 to eliminate the financial disparity.”
The PEC chairman has requested Mr. Shah that Sindh government should also allow technical allowance to all Engineering Cadres of Sindh i-e Irrigation, C&W, Housing, Development, and Sanitation Authorities as admissible in KPK. He said the step would be in the best interest of engineers and uplifting of Sindh.
The engineers are the backbone of the country which ultimately participates in the growth of the country. They work day and night to achieve the goal. Engineering organizations working under administrative control of the government of Sindh are not giving technical allowance to the engineers which is totally an injustice as compare to the engineers of KPK and federal government organizations.
