In a significant move towards green mobility, Sazgar Engineering Works Limited has announced the launch and pre-booking of its first Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) under the brand name HAVAL H6 Hi4 1.5L AT AWD Turbo PHEV. The first Completely Knocked Down (CKD) units of the vehicle are expected to roll out in August 2025.
In a formal disclosure to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company further revealed plans to expand its hybrid portfolio with the introduction of a SUV, “TANK-500 Hi4-T 4X4 2.0L Turbo AT PHEV”, and a pickup truck, “CANNON ALPHA Hi4-T 4X4 2.0L Turbo AT PHEV”. The rollout of these CKD models is scheduled before March 31, 2026.
The development marks a significant milestone in Sazgar’s efforts to localize hybrid electric vehicle production in Pakistan and contribute to environmentally friendly transport options in the country.
