PAKISTAN
The AKD Group, through its subsidiary AKD Group Holdings (Private) Limited, has joined the Arif Habib Corporation Limited (AHCL)-led consortium participating in the privatisation process of Pakistan International Airlines Corporation Limited (PIACL).
According to the notice to KSX by AHCL, the inclusion of AKD Group — a leading financial institution with diversified interests in venture capital, real estate development and construction, oil and gas, and technology — further strengthens the consortium as it advances through the due diligence phase of the transaction.
With this development, the consortium now comprises AHCL, Fatima Fertilizer Company Limited, City School (Private) Limited, Lake City Holdings (Private) Limited, and AKD Group Holdings (Private) Limited.
The consortium remains actively engaged with the Privatisation Commission of Pakistan and other relevant stakeholders to complete the due diligence process.
AHCL reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, stating that, subject to confidentiality obligations and considerations of national interest, it would continue to make timely disclosures of all material and price-sensitive information to the Privatisation Commission and the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. – ER News Desk
