
Mari Energies Limited (MARI) has commenced gas supply from its Shams-1 discovery to Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL), according to a material information notice submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).
In a filing dated June 23, 2026, the company informed stakeholders that, following government approval, gas production of up to 30 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD) from the Shams-1 discovery has started flowing to SNGPL with effect from June 19, 2026, during the Extended Well Testing (EWT) period.
The Shams-1 gas and condensate discovery is located within the Mari Development and Production Lease (D&PL) in Daharki, Sindh.
The company had previously announced the discovery through a PSX notice issued on March 19, 2026.
Mari Energies is the operator of the Mari D&PL and holds a 100% working interest in the asset.
The commencement of gas supply is expected to contribute to the country’s energy requirements while advancing the commercial development of the Shams-1 discovery. ER News Desk
