DWP Technologies Unveils State-of-the-Art Data Centre for Higher Education Commission

The inauguration took place at NED University, with a ceremony attended by Federal Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives Prof Ahsan Iqbal. Other notable figures included Chairman of HEC Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad, CEO of Huawei, and Maqsood ur Rahman, Country Manager Networks at DWP Technologies and Vice Chancellor of NED University Dr. Sarosh Hashmat Lodhi.

The project was completed in two key phases, utilizing innovative containerized solutions to ensure enhanced efficiency, security, and scalability to meet HEC’s growing digital requirements. Designed with a 4-megawatt capacity, the facility serves as a future-ready hub for seamless data processing and storage, supporting Pakistan’s higher education sector.

Maqsood ur Rahman, Country Manager Networks at DWP Technologies, expressed pride in the achievement, stating, “This advanced data center is a testament to DWP Technologies’ expertise in providing high-performance infrastructure solutions. By delivering HEC a scalable, reliable digital backbone, we’re positioning Pakistan’s education sector for success in the digital era.”

DWP Technologies transformed a raw plot of land into a fully operational, high-performance data center, showcasing their proficiency in large-scale infrastructure projects. The scope included complete civil works like land leveling, foundation development, and infrastructure deployment.

The project also involved the supply and installation of Huawei DC PODs, ensuring state-of-the-art data center infrastructure. Key power solutions, such as generators, transformers, AVR, ATS, and Gen Sync Electrical Panels, were incorporated to ensure a stable and uninterrupted power supply. – ERMD/PR
