
Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has appointed Mohammad Nadeem Khan as its interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for a period of 14 days following the departure of Hatem Mohamed Bamatraf.
In a notice submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company said Hatem Mohamed Bamatraf ceased to serve as CEO with effect from July 2, 2026. Mohammad Nadeem Khan has been appointed to lead the company on an interim basis from the same date.
Khan currently serves as PTCL Group’s Chief Financial Officer and has nearly three decades of professional experience in finance, corporate strategy and business leadership. He oversees the group’s financial operations across PTCL and Ufone 4G.
His predecessor, Hatem Mohamed Bamatraf, had served as President and Group CEO of PTCL since 2021, leading the company’s digital transformation initiatives and overseeing key strategic developments, including the expansion of its ICT business and major corporate transactions.
PTCL did not disclose the reason for the leadership change or announce who would assume the role after the interim appointment expires. The company requested the PSX to notify TRE Certificate Holders of the management change in accordance with regulatory requirements.-ERMD
