The Progressive Writers Association (PWA) will hold a special session on Pakistan’s water crisis and the importance of rainwater harvesting at the Writers’ House of the Pakistan Academy of Letters (PAL) on November 22 (Saturday).
The event aims to raise public awareness about practical methods for collecting and storing rainwater, highlighting its role in environmental protection and long-term water security.
Teacher Usman, a noted environmentalist known for promoting rainwater harvesting and conservation efforts, will be the guest speaker. He is expected to share insights, success stories, and practical guidance during the session.
Speaking to APP, Faheem Qureshi, Secretary of PWA, emphasized the need for public engagement in sustainable water solutions, saying, “If we want a water-secure and environmentally responsible Pakistan, we must adopt effective practices like rainwater harvesting.” – ERMD
