Thatta Cement Company Limited has informed the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) that its wholly owned subsidiary, Minsk Work Tractor & Assembling (Private) Limited (MWTA), has entered into an exclusive agreement with OJSC Minsk Tractor Works, Republic of Belarus, for the assembly and local production of BELARUS tractors in the province of Balochistan.
According to the company’s announcement, OJSC Minsk Tractor Works has granted MWTA exclusive rights to assemble BELARUS tractors within Balochistan. The project is aimed at promoting local industrial development, job creation, and technology transfer by establishing a tractor assembly facility in the province.
Thatta Cement described the agreement as a major strategic milestone for its subsidiary, saying it will contribute positively to the long-term growth and diversification of the Thatta Cement Group’s overall business portfolio.
The initiative is also expected to support the government’s efforts toward industrial expansion and mechanization of agriculture in less-developed regions, while strengthening economic cooperation between Pakistan and Belarus. – ER Report
