PAKISTAN
The 15th International Civil Engineering Conference (ICEC-2025) will commence tomorrow (November 7, 2025) at NED University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi. The event is jointly organized by the Institution of Engineers Pakistan (IEP) Karachi Centre and the Department of Civil Engineering, NED University. It will be held in hybrid mode (physical and online) at the Ashraf Habibullah A/V Hall.
The inaugural session will be attended by prominent engineers, academicians, researchers, and industry professionals from Pakistan and abroad.
K.N. Gunalan (Guna), PhD, PE, BC.GE, NAC, President-Elect of the World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO), will deliver the keynote address on “AI Accelerating Transition to Embedded Autonomous Robots in Construction.”
Dr. Sarosh Hashmat Lodi, Senior Vice Chairman of the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC), will also address the participants as a keynote speaker.
The Chief Guest of the first day of the conference is Prof. Md. Sirajul Islam from North South University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He will share insights on emerging trends in civil and environmental engineering.
Speakers will highlight the importance of innovation, artificial intelligence, and sustainable practices in modern construction and infrastructure development. The conference will serve as a collaborative platform for knowledge sharing among global experts and practitioners.
The two-day event includes technical sessions and panel discussions scheduled at the IEP Convention Hall, Karachi, covering diverse topics in civil engineering, sustainability, and smart infrastructure. The conference will conclude with a closing session on November 8, 2025. – ER News
