MUET Professor Dr. Bhawani Shankar Chowdhry Honoured by Romanian University -

Mehran University of Engineering and Technology Professor Emeritus and Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr. Bhawani Shankar Chowdhry has been awarded the title of “Invited Professor, Associate at University of Oradea” by University of Oradea in recognition of his outstanding academic and research contributions.

According to the diploma issued by the Romanian university, the honour was conferred upon Dr. Chowdhry for his decades-long contributions in teaching, research, and international academic cooperation in the fields of information and communication technology, embedded systems, artificial intelligence, internet of things (IoT), computer engineering, and smart technologies.

The award also acknowledged his efforts in promoting global academic collaboration and strengthening cooperation between universities in Pakistan and Romania.

The honour was officially granted by the Rector and President of the Senate of the University of Oradea upon the recommendation of the Council for Doctoral Studies. The diploma was issued on September 30, 2026.

Academic circles and engineers have congratulated Dr. Bhawani Shankar Chowdhry on receiving the international recognition, describing it as a matter of pride for Pakistan and particularly for the engineering and research community of Sindh.
