QUEST Professor Dr Saleem Raza Samo Honoured by Romanian University -

Quaid-e-Awam University of Engineering, Science and Technology Vice Chancellor and Professor Emeritus Dr. Saleem Raza Samo has been awarded the prestigious title of “Invitated Professor, Associate at University of Oradea” by University of Oradea in recognition of his outstanding academic and research contributions.

According to the diploma issued by the Romanian university, Dr Saleem Raza Samo was honoured for his three decades of teaching, research and academic achievements in diversified engineering fields including machine design, energy technology, thermodynamics, mechanics of machines, manufacturing technology, fluid mechanics, energy policy and management, lubrication and friction, and strength of materials.

The university also acknowledged his role in promoting global academic cooperation and strengthening collaboration between universities.

Dr Samo currently serves as Vice Chancellor of QUEST Nawabshah and has also served as former Pro Vice Chancellor, Dean and Professor at the Faculty of Mechanical, Energy and Environment Engineering.

The honorary title was conferred by the Rector and the President of the Senate of the University of Oradea on the recommendation of the Council for Doctoral Studies. The diploma was issued on September 30, 2024.

Academic and engineering circles have congratulated Dr Saleem Raza Samo on receiving the international recognition, terming it a proud moment for Pakistan’s engineering education sector and the academic community of Sindh. – ER
