SML Tires Limited has successfully expanded its production capacity for truck and bus radial (TBR) tyres by 25 percent, increasing annual output from 1.6 million tyres to 2.0 million tyres, the company informed the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).
In its notice to the bourse, the company said the expansion reflects its continued commitment to operational growth and long-term value creation.
The enhanced capacity is expected to help meet rising demand in both domestic and international markets while strengthening the company’s competitive position in the tyre industry.
SML Tires said the increased production capability would enable it to better serve customers, capitalize on growing market opportunities, and support its export ambitions.
The company expects the expansion to contribute positively to future revenues and profitability by improving economies of scale and enhancing its ability to meet higher order volumes.
The latest capacity enhancement comes as Pakistan’s tyre industry continues to focus on import substitution, export growth, and increased localization amid rising demand from the transport and logistics sectors.
SML Tires stated that it remains committed to expanding its manufacturing capabilities and creating sustainable value for shareholders through strategic investments and operational excellence. -ER News Desk
