PAKISTAN
EMCO Industries Limited, a public listed company incorporated in 1954, has announced that its High Voltage and Mechanical Testing (HVMT) Laboratory has successfully completed the full assessment by the Pakistan National Accreditation Council (PNAC) and is now officially recognized as an ISO/IEC 17025 Accredited Independent Testing Service Provider.
This development marks a significant milestone in EMCO’s ongoing commitment to technological excellence and international quality standards. The accreditation affirms the technical competence and operational integrity of EMCO’s laboratory in conducting high-voltage and mechanical testing in line with globally recognized protocols.
The company stated that this achievement enhances EMCO’s capability to provide reliable, third-party testing services to Pakistan’s power sector and other industrial clients, further consolidating its position as a market leader in high-voltage insulators, switchgear, and substation equipment.
This announcement follows EMCO’s earlier disclosure on April 1, 2024, in which the company reported the commissioning of Pakistan’s first and highest-capacity high voltage laboratory (“HVLAB”), completed in October 2023. The facility is equipped with testing capabilities of up to 1,800 kV impulse level and 600 kV power frequency level, making it the only one of its kind in the country.
Founded in 1954, EMCO Industries Limited is a leading manufacturer and supplier of high-voltage porcelain transmission line insulators, switchgear, and substation equipment, serving both the domestic and export markets. The company continues to play a pivotal role in supporting Pakistan’s power infrastructure and advancing the country’s industrial self-reliance. – ER News Desk
