AI cloud infrastructure provider Nscale has agreed to acquire AI software startup Anyscale in a move aimed at strengthening its artificial intelligence cloud platform and helping customers manage and deploy AI applications more efficiently.
While the companies did not disclose the financial terms of the deal, media reports valued the acquisition at approximately $1.65 billion. The transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2026, subject to customary conditions.
San Francisco-based Anyscale develops software that enables organizations to coordinate and run complex AI workloads across large clusters of computers, improving the efficiency and scalability of AI applications.
Nscale said integrating Anyscale’s technology into its platform will enhance its AI infrastructure offerings and attract a broader customer base.
Following the acquisition, Anyscale will continue to operate under its existing brand and will maintain support for its current customers. The company’s workforce of around 200 employees across the United States, Europe and India will join Nscale.
Founded in 2024, Nscale is a vertically integrated AI cloud provider that owns and operates its own data centres, graphics processing units (GPUs) and software stack to deliver large-scale AI computing services.
The company competes with major AI cloud providers such as CoreWeave and Nebius Group.
Anyscale has experienced rapid business growth, with its co-founders recently reporting a 70% sequential increase in revenue during the company’s latest quarter, reflecting rising demand for software that supports large-scale AI deployment.-ERMD/TS
