
ENGINEERING BODIES
The IEEEP organized its 41st Students Seminar at the main campus of Iqra University, bringing together a large number of students, faculty members, professional engineers, and IEEEP leadership.
The seminar, themed “Empowering Future Engineers,” focused on innovation, research, and emerging technologies shaping the next generation of engineers.
The inaugural session featured Engr. Haroon Rasheed, a former IBM chief, as the chief guest. He was joined by Gayasuddin, Director of Nestek, among other distinguished participants.
The event included technical sessions organized into three parallel tracks. In total, 10 research papers were presented by students, showcasing diverse and innovative ideas.
Among the key presentations were:
– Student Academic Performance Prediction Using Data Warehousing and Data Mining Techniques
– IoT-based Smart Power Quality Analyzer
– A Smart Glove for Sign Language Translation Enabled by Machine Learning Algorithms
– SehatSync: An Edge-Compute AI Triage Kiosk with Integrated Biomedical Sensing for Resource-Constrained Healthcare Environments
– Intelligent Heart Murmur Detection System using Phonocardiogram Signals
In another session, students presented projects including:
– AI-Powered Real-Time Pakistan Sign Language Interpreter on a Vision Edge Node
– Battery Management System and Cybersecurity
– Automated Quality Control using Computer Vision and Delta Robot
– Multi-Role Surveillance and Payload Dropping UAV Drone
– Audivie: An Automated AI-Powered Voice Interviewer
The seminar provided a valuable platform for students to present their research, exchange ideas, and engage with industry professionals, reflecting IEEEP’s continued commitment to fostering innovation and technical excellence among future engineers.
