PEC Extends Validity of Constructors, Operators and Consulting Firms’ Licences Until Sept 30

According to a notification issued by PEC on August 28, 2026, the validity of licences and certificates of all Pakistani and foreign constructors, operators and consulting engineering firms and companies, which had previously been extended until August 31, 2026, has now been further extended for another month.

The notification, issued under reference PEC/CILD/Ext./07/2026, stated that the extension had been granted with the approval of the competent authority.

The Council directed all concerned stakeholders to ensure necessary compliance with the notification.

The extension provides continued regulatory coverage to engineering firms and companies whose licences or certificates were approaching expiry, allowing them to continue their registered professional and business activities without interruption during the extended period.

The PEC’s decision covers registered constructors, operators and consulting engineering firms and companies, including both Pakistani and foreign entities.

The latest extension is expected to provide relief to engineering consultants, contractors and other registered firms involved in ongoing public and private-sector projects across the country. – ER Report
